About the Program

Welcome to the African Angel Academy (AAA), a fully online, self-sponsored program designed to help investors across Africa and the diaspora invest wisely and confidently in early-stage startups. The program is structured to take participants from beginner to confident angel investor, combining foundational concepts, investment mechanics, and advanced practices into one comprehensive learning journey. Over a 12–14 week period, participants complete 12 modules, participate in live Q&A sessions, attend expert-led masterclasses, and engage in interactive networking simulations. The program is ideal for individuals seeking a structured and practical introduction to angel investing, as well as those looking to deepen their investment knowledge and skills. Participants engage in a dynamic blend of self-paced learning, live discussions, and masterclasses, complemented by group assignments and case studies that provide a practical, hands-on learning experience. Upon completion, participants join a growing alumni community that offers ongoing networking, collaboration, and investment opportunities across the African startup ecosystem.

  • Program Duration: 12–14 Weeks with weekly Commitment: 2–3 hours (combination of self-paced learning and live sessions).Live Sessions: Every Thursday at 18:00 (EAT) Group Assignments: Once every month

  • Program Delivery: This fully online program blends self-paced video modules and resources, delivered through our dedicated learning platform, Thinkific.

  • Program Fee: USD 850 for the full 12–14 week program

This Program is for you if:

  • You currently invest in startups or are interested in beginning your investment journey, either individually or as part of a group.

  • You possess capital ready for investment within the next 6 months and boast over 10 years of professional experience, enabling you to contribute value to startups.

  • You aim to connect with like-minded individuals to join or form angel groups, while driving growth in local entrepreneurial ecosystems.

Program Pricing and Discounts

Special pricing options are available for early applicants, group sign-ups, and referrals to make the program more accessible.

  • Early Bird Discount (10%)

    Available across all the African Angel Academy Cohort 13 learning tracks to participants who apply and are accepted within the first two weeks of the application period.

  • Group Discount (5%)

    Apply as a pair or group (minimum of 2 per group) to benefit from a 5% discount each in your program fees. Each person must submit their own application form and list their group members’ names and emails. Discounts will be confirmed only after all group applications are received and verified. Note: Selecting the group option without verified group members will result in standard pricing.

  • Referral Bonus

    Refer a friend to the program, and once they’re accepted and complete their payment, you’ll receive a complimentary learning module of your choice.
