About the Program

This 13-week program offers self-paced online learning paired with live, interactive sessions led by top African angel investors and industry experts, providing actionable insights on sourcing, evaluating, managing, and exiting investments, while building valuable connections with peers and mentors.

  • Duration: 13 weeks (includes ~2 hours per week with live sessions on Thursdays at 6:00 PM EAT and new modules released every Friday).

  • Fee: $1,000

This 13-week journey will comprise of:

  • 12-Module Self-Paced Online Course

    Discover how to source and negotiate deals, establish an angel group or syndicate, and effectively manage your portfolio with our online course content.

  • Bi-weekly Live Investor Deep Dives

    The course instructors will host bi-weekly deep dive sessions with guest investors on Thursdays at 18h00 (EAT). These sessions provide an opportunity for you to pose specific questions about the module content.

  • Expert Masterclasses & Networking

    Learn about key topics from investors across the ecosystem, from an African perspective. Expert masterclasses are interactive 90 minute events, hosted bi-weekly on Thursdays at 18h00 (EAT). Network with the full cohort of new women angels for collaboration and co-investment opportunities.

  • Startup Showcases

    Meet investment-ready startups nominated by our pan-African angel investor community at our showcase events.

  • New Angel Group Mentorship

    If you’re starting your own angel group, you can apply for a 6-month mentorship programme and technical support grant.

  • Join A Growing Alumni Community

    Join the African Angel Academy alumni community (600+ angels from 32 countries) to access further learning events, networking opportunities and dealflow.

This program is for you if:

  • You currently invest in startups or are interested in beginning your investment journey, either individually or as part of a group.

  • You possess capital ready for investment within the next 6 months and boast over 10 years of professional experience, enabling you to contribute value to startups.

  • You aim to connect with like-minded individuals to join or form angel groups, while driving growth in local entrepreneurial ecosystems.
